First of all, thank you so much for reading and your constant support! I really appreciate it.
I also don’t have any publications yet - I spoke with a few people and they told me in some postdocs it’s not really an issue. I would like to have at least one as well, just to be on the safe side, though!
It all really depends on the postdoc, the university and the respective PI - that is what I keep seeing so I think we shouldn’t lose hope! ✨⭐️
I am also glad you like the song and thank you for pointing out last time that you like the Music Highlight! I will keep it as a constant feature, every single time.
Oooh Thriller is one of my favourite albums of all time!
Very good question. This is something I think about *all the time*. I so want to go on to a post-doc, but... I do not have any publications, so I do not think that is realistic at this point. So, after the PhD (I am closing in on completion), I will work on publishing and then a post-doc, but from what I understand there is a short window of time (several years max in some places?) that a person is considered hire-able after the PhD for a post-doc.
Oooo! I love the song. I have not heard that one in so long. It's hard to not dance to that one. I'm going to reveal how ancient I am now... when I was 15, Michael Jackson released 'Thriller'. My two favourite albums that I ran into the ground that year (1982) were by Billy Squier and Journey.
