Through Substack, I have found really amazing writers and one of them is Anne Boyd Rioux and her Substack: Audacious Women, Creative Lives.
Her post Am I Too Old to Change My Life? Reinventing Ourselves at Any Age is absolutely amazing, I don’t know how many times I’ve gone back to it this week. Read it and subscribe, you will definitely not regret it.
Have you read my post that I wrote back in January, "Don't you think you're too old for a PhD?"
What have you done in your life, against everyone telling you that you are too old for it, or that you should have done it a long time ago? Share in the comments, if you like!
In my 50s, I bought a run down farmhouse in rural Vermont, left a successful marketing career, and went back to school to get an MFA. I also got tattoos and a dog. ☘️❤️
Well, I am starting a PhD in marine science at nearly 35 - coming from a background in +9 years corporate IT. 😅
I used to be the youngest in whatever I did for most of my life. Starting a master's degree in a completely different field at 31 already seemed daunting. I don't feel too old to do a PhD (I need to read your other post right after this one 😆), but it feels different. I still can't fully describe my feelings about it.
