What do you do in your free time?

What do you do in your free time? This is the question I always ask my students when I first get to know them; I don’t only want them to answer in English (I’m an English teacher), but I’m genuinely interested if they invest time in having a life outside their work and studies - they are all adults.

If you’ve known me a little or longer even, you probably know that reading is my favourite hobby! I love reading, buying books, going to the library 📚

I also like going on walks - I either listen to music to keep a good pace, or to a podcast if I’m going more slowly. Sometimes I talk to a family member on the phone when I go walking!

I also started journaling a few months ago - I just write about anything that comes to my head every day and I keep the topic to one page.
